The Czech Circular Economy Association has brought together representatives of key sectors to create real conditions for the circular economy. They work in open clusters: packaging, construction, energy, these are the most active so far. The Waste Act and related legislation, approved (finally!) with effect from January 2021, form the basic framework for this work. But this needs to be complemented by concrete initiatives. The Packaging Cluster, for example, has a clear objective: to bring together producers, the EPR system and recyclers, to alert the regulator to existing barriers and to overcome these together, and to start packaging in sustainable packaging, with the agreement of all actors across the value chain.
