MEMBERSHIP

What will you get out of membership of the Czech Circular Economy Association?

The Czech Circular Economy Association is a voluntary, apolitical and autonomous union of natural and legal persons connected by an interest in saving primary resources, reducing business costs and, not least, reducing the negative impacts on the environment and human health and preserving the added value of products for the future.

Come and join us at the start of the ground-breaking period of transition from a linear economy to a circular economy and contribute to the expert discussion.

In its statutes, the Czech Circular Economy Association has set itself the mission of saving primary resources and reducing the negative impacts on the environment and human health, and in particular reducing the amount of unusable waste and promoting the principles of the circular economy in general.

Become part of a platform that brings together leading experts and high-level managers in the protection of natural resources who are considered guarantors of the circular economy.

To achieve the consistent fulfilment of these visions, the association is endeavouring to promote the improved material use of waste along with continual reduction in the amount of waste that is not used for material or energy purposes and that ends up unused at waste dumps.

Contribute with us to the arguments in favour of a change in approach to natural resources and incorporation of the principles of the circular economy in production and consumption practice in the Czech Republic and an end to the system of waste dumping that still remains, unfortunately, the most advantageous option in economic terms in the Czech Republic.

The Czech Circular Economy Association is engaged in the practical development of the principles of the circular economy in the form of support for innovative projects within organisations. The Czech Circular Economy Association provides expert help and support to individual entities during the application of the circular economy and the effective use of waste materials and secondary raw materials and waste and the declaration of fair waste management.

Become an example of good practice in the promotion of the circular economy and a responsible approach to resources. Play an active part in the protection of natural resources.

HOW TO BECOME A ČAObH MEMBER?

How to become a member of the Czech Circular Economy Association?

In addition to working for the development of the principles of the circular economy in general, the Czech Circular Economy Association also aims to work to meet the needs of specific sectors, for which reason it also works in clusters.
Currently, these are the clusters Packaging,Energy Recovery from waste and Construction. We welcome people interested in starting up additional clusters (please make a statement in your application).
If you want to become involved in the work of these clusters, why not become a cluster member? How can you do this?

Membership in any cluster means that a member of the cluster does not have the rights of a member of the Association to vote and be elected to the Association's bodies, his or her ability to advance his or her priorities is limited by how often the autonomously operating cluster meets, in accordance with the Bylaws, and whether a majority of the cluster members recommend that the Association's leadership address this or that issue. And these are often, in a way, competing technologies.

The main advantage of just being a member of the cluster is the lower payment of the membership fee of the cluster member, which is 75.000, - CZK per year.

Who can join? Natural and legal persons engaged in saving primary resources, the recovery of secondary raw materials and the use of waste for material and energy purposes can become members of a cluster.

How to proceed:

1. Complete an application – you can download an application form below – and send it to milos.kuzvart@obehove-hospodarstvi.cz.

2. The executive committee of the Czech Circular Economy Association will assess and approve your application at its next meeting.

3. Parties submitting applications will be informed of their acceptance within 6 weeks at the latest of the submission of their application (we reject only those applicants who implement or promote procedures that are in contradiction of the principles of the circular economy that the clusters of the Czech Circular Economy Association are planning to promote and implement).

4. Membership fee: due to the time of joining, an adequate amount is always paid on the date of joining, e.g. on 1 July it is always half of the annual membership fee. There are three amounts of the annual membership fee: for commercial entities the ANNUAL fee is 300.000, - CZK. For group memberships - associations, unions, etc. the annual fee is 30.000, - CZK. For academic members - colleges, universities - it is 10.000, - CZK annually.

5. After fulfilling this basic obligation of a member, the new member is invited to nominate his/her representative to the advisory boards of the Confederation of Industry of the Czech Republic, where the ČAObH is a collective member, is informed about events such as participation of the association at conferences, trade fairs, etc.
