Prague, 8 December 2020 - In spring 2015, the VIZE 2024 platform under the banner of EMPRESS o.p.s. called on the professional and general public, representatives of the business and non-profit spheres: let's plant ourselves to promote the circular economy in the Czech Republic. It added a concrete ten steps that are necessary for this, including an increase in the price for landfill waste as one of the prerequisites for the country to start actually recycling. The VIZE 2024 ten principles have largely been reflected in the new waste laws. But the circular economy needs further support.
EMPRESS is working closely with the Czech Association of Circular Economy (ČAObH) to further expand and consolidate circular principles so that they become a common part of the thinking of all players from government to business to the average consumer. How? In addition to practical implementation, also through education.
| To this end, it has prepared an educational cycle, which started with a current on-line webinarNewwaste regulations: what will happen from January 2021?The adoption of the new Waste Act and related regulations is good news for the environment and the circular economy. Despite attempts to delay it, it is in force and effective from 1 January 2021. Fee increases, changes to the waste catalogue, etc., are all quite complex issues that we will take you through. We have already held an online webinar for industry and businesses and have a webinar coming up for municipalities. Both are already full, but we are planning another one. We will keep you informed. |
