Only one week left until the online broadcast of the debate, where the most topical issues of the Czech waste management will be discussed. We have prepared the debate as an alternative to the Waste and Municipalities 2020 Conference.
We would like to inform you about a change in the programme that we had to make.
As a meeting of the Economic Committee of the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Parliament has been convened for 10 June 2020, where, among other things, new waste legislation will be discussed, we could not guarantee the participation of all planned guests in the online debate. We were able to expeditiously secure the participation of these important speakers for the following day, and we have therefore agreed to reschedule the 3rd block of the debate for the morning of Thursday 11 June 2020.
PROGRAMME:
Wednesday 10 June 2020 from 9:00 hrs.
09:00 - Opening ceremony
Session 1: 09:15 to 10:45 - Waste management in the coronavirus crisis - impacts, experiences and solutions
Session 2: 11:15 to 12:45 - Sorting, recycling and secondary raw materials - current situation and future outlook
Thursday 11 June 2020 from 10:00 hrs.
Block 3: 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. - Development of the legislative process of waste laws - current status and the impact of the coronavirus crisis on their negotiation
Guests of the debate will be representatives of:
- Ministry of the Environment of the Czech Republic,
- trade associations from the OH sector,
- municipal and waste management sectors,
- recycling industry,
- and economy.
