On 29 June 2021, a major member of the ČAObH, the "Energy financial group a.s.", at its ENERGY EVENING 2021 meeting in Prague - Čestlice discussed the future of renewable energy sources. Miloš Kužvart, Executive Director of ČAObH, also presented his contribution on the future of the circular economy.
Miloš Kužvart, Minister of the Environment from 1998-2002, was a guest speaker at the Energy Evening 2021 conference, where he supported the group's business and put it in the context of the sphere of political influence and current legislation. From his position as director of the organisation, he pointed out the importance of the Czech Association of Circular Economy (CAObH), of which we are members, and which is needed for the cooperation of institutions, companies and individuals interested in saving and environmental management in the Czech Republic. He also described the association's proposals for tools to support the Green Deal objectives.
Kužvart mentioned that the circular economy has already had its legal framework in place for half a year in the form of newly adopted laws, and he considers the proposal voted by MPs across the political spectrum towards "green public procurement" to be a historic breakthrough. "On the contrary, the inclusion of trade waste in municipal waste management systems is not part of the Waste Act - the HCC and the MoE were against it," he added. According to the former environment minister, implementing regulations have also not been issued, with the "former" ones applying in some cases. "What is needed today for the introduction of circular economy into the life of companies, municipalities and the whole society is a stable, as simple as possible and user-friendly legal environment," he concluded.
