On Monday 27 January 2025, a seminar on "New legislation and food prices" will be held in the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic. Specifically, the impact of the new Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) and the draft law on mandatory backup.
The seminar is organized under the auspices of the Chairman of the Subcommittee on Food, Veterinary Activities and Animal Production of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic and can be watched online in addition to personal participation.
The first thematic session will focus on the basic obligations under the new PPWR, which will be in force from 11 February 2025 and fully effective and binding from 12 August 2026. The second session focuses on the specific impact of the PPWR on food, packaging and packaging waste prices. The third part of the seminar will focus on the proposed amendment to the Packaging Act - mandatory deposit and its impact on food, packaging and packaging waste prices.
